Safety Consultants USA, Inc. is looking for a CONSTRUCTION SAFETY MANUAL PROGRAM SPECIALIST who prides themselves on their ability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions to complex problems to join our team. This role is a great opportunity to write safety programs to ensure that workers are kept safe and out of harm’s way.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for researching, drafting, and updating safety policies, procedures, and programs for clients that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Research and develop safety manuals, policies, and programs tailored to specific industries, projects, or regulations.
- Collaborate with safety consultants, subject matter experts, and client stakeholders to ensure accurate and comprehensive content.
- Translate complex safety regulations and concepts into clear, user-friendly language for a variety of audiences.
- Review and revise existing safety manuals and programs to ensure they are up-to-date and compliant with current standards.
- Develop templates, guidelines, and instructional documents that support consistent implementation of safety practices.
- Prepare other safety documents including JSAs, Risk Assessments, EAPs, LOTO, etc.
- Ensure all documents meet legal, regulatory, and company-specific safety requirements.
- Coordinate with training teams to support the integration of safety programs into employee education initiatives.
- Maintain documentation libraries and version control for safety manuals and related content.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably within the field of occupational safety or compliance.
- Strong understanding of OSHA standards, industry safety regulations, and best practices.
- Exceptional written communication skills with a focus on clarity, structure, and organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and documentation tools (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, content management systems).
- Excellent research skills and the ability to synthesize technical information into accessible content.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Certification in safety management (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, ASP, etc.) is a plus.
