 \n\nDay 4 - Friday 10/2 8am-4:30pm\n\n*Day 1\, 2\, 3 and 4 MUST be purchas
 ed together and attendance is required at all 4 sessions to receive a cert
 ified outreach training card.\n\nStudents must speak and understand Englis
 h to register for this class.\n\nThis course covers 14 hours of the follow
 ing mandatory topics:\n\n 	Introduction to OSHA – 1 hour\n 	Managing Saf
 ety and Health – 2 hours\n 	OSHA Focus Four Hazards – 6 hours\n 	Falls
  (minimum 1 hour 30 minutes)\n 	Electrocution - 1 hour\n 	Struck-by (e.g. 
 falling objects\, trucks\, cranes) - 30 mins\n 	Caught-In or Between (e.g.
  trench hazards\, equipment) - 1 hour\n 	Personal Protective and Lifesavin
 g Equipment – 2 hours\n 	Health Hazards in Construction – 2 hours\n 	S
 tairways and Ladders – 1 hour\n\nThe course also includes 12 hours of th
 e following elective topics:\n\n 	Concrete and Masonry Construction\n 	Con
 fined Space Entry\n 	Cranes\, Derricks\, Hoists\, Elevators and Conveyors\
 n 	Ergonomics\n 	Excavations\n 	Fire Protection and Prevention\n 	Material
 s Handling\, Storage\, Use and Disposal\n 	Motor Vehicles\, Mechanized Equ
 ipment and Marine Operations\; Rollover Protective Structures and Overhead
  Protection\; and Signs\, Signals and Barricades\n 	Powered Industrial Veh
 icles\n 	Safety and Health Programs\n 	Scaffolds\n 	Steel Erection\n 	Tool

 ership (minimum 2.5 hours)\n\nAn additional 4 hours of electives will be s
 elected at the discretion of the trainer.  The minimum length of any one 
 topic is 30 minutes.\n\n*Courses may not exceed 7 1/2 hours per day. A 10 
 minute break is mandatory every 2 hours. A 30 minute lunch is required &am
 p\; may not be counted as course participation time.
