Mary Catherine McLeod, Safety Consultant
Mary Catherine believes all employers and employees should understand what it means to have a safe workplace by creating a culture of safety. By creating a safer workplace for everyone with training and consulting, she knows she is helping clients feel more confident in making their safety decisions. She takes great pride in being a valuable resource to our clients with whatever circumstances or challenges they may encounter.
Her professional background includes working in industries such as concrete manufacturing, construction, and chemical manufacturing. Mary Catherine earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geoscience with an emphasis in Geography from Valdosta State University and a Master of Science in Occupational Health and Safety from Columbia Southern University.
She earned the designation of Graduate Safety Practitioner® (GSP®) in June 2022 and is currently studying to complete the Certified Safety Professional ® (CSP ®) certification in the spring of 2024.

In November 2024, Mary Catherine became an ABC of Georgia 2024 Future Leaders Graduate. Mary Catherine participated in leadership classes and peer interaction during the nine-month program. The Future Leaders program helps develop individuals in leadership, communication, team building, decision-making, conflict resolution, people skills, and other key competencies.
Mary Catherine was appointed to the 2024 ABC of Georgia YoPro Networking Committee. This committee is charged with developing and implementing the ABC Young Professional program and promoting its benefits to ABC of Georgia members. The main goal is to find new and exciting ways to engage young professionals in the construction industry. Her commitment involves networking with ABC staff, members, and volunteers to connect with young professionals within the construction industry.
When she’s not working, she enjoys being outside, gardening, fishing and hunting. She also enjoys traveling, hanging out with her beloved German Shepherd, spending time with friends and cooking. Watching the Atlanta Braves play and spending a day at the ball park is one of her favorite pastimes.
Mary Catherine believes her work ethic and professional development allows her to be a great example for future generations of women in the safety industry. She’s determined to make the world a better place for anyone by modeling what hard work and grit can achieve.
